Whether you've always wanted to perform but never knew how, or have not performed for a while but would like to get back into it....or are a seasoned performer looking for your next role.  Maybe you just want some extra confidence and to try something new?

Come and join “Out the Spout” the Art house Theatre Group.

This friendly group is for all ages and abilities and everyone is welcome. This is your play and you will craft it from the first concept, to first script to first night.

Facilitated by Jewels Carter, an experienced actor, producer and director. She will guide you through the process from the page to the stage, whether using established works, new writings or devising our own work from scratch. Whatever part of the process you want to explore it’s up to you. From set design to performing there is a role for you.

So, what are you waiting for?

The group will meet for a total of 12 weeks, culminating in a performance on Saturday 27th March 2010.  You can join from 6th January until 27th January, so don't worry if you can't make the first few sessions - there may even be a way of fitting you in later than that, so please get in touch!

Sessions from the 6th January to the 10th March will be at Bedford House Resource Centre, Amoy Street (off Bedford Place), followed by two dress rehearsals at The Art House on 17th and 24th March.  Do not worry if you can't make every session, you will still be able to take part!

Cost is £40 for all 12 sessions, payable in advance.  You can come along for the first session only for £5, if you like it then you can pay the balance to come to the rest of the sessions.

Bedford House is fully wheelchair accessible.  Please get in touch for any specific access requirements.

We plan to hold the dress rehearsals and performance on our first floor, however if some of the group have different access requirements we will be happy to sort out another venue in order to make this group open to all.

There is ample parking outside Bedford House.  It is about 10 minutes walk from Southampton City Centre train station and 5 minutes walk from city centre buses.
